Where the Love of God is Found

ONLINE WORSHIP

The Mercer County Church of Christ is a family of disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and are committed to following all of his teachings. We are a non-denominational fellowship whose members represent all racial and social backgrounds and we are committed to helping one another to display God’s love to a hurting world. Our goal is to create a church that is not separate from the community but is actively involved in being a light within the community as we strive to create a place “where the love of God is found.”

What We Believe

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God and is to be our guide for living as followers of Christ (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  • Salvation is available only through Jesus Christ (John 14:1-6) and is a gift from God through faith in his grace (Ephesians 2:8).
  • God has given us baptism so that through faith, we can die to our old selves and live to God (Romans 6:3-13; Galatians 2:20-21), receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
  • The focus of our lives is to love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength and our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:28-31).
  • The Holy Spirit, which we receive at baptism (Acts 2:38), gives us the power to change (Galatians 5:18-26).
  • We have fellowship with all those of the same mind and are always striving to maintain the bond of unity (Ephesians 4:1-6).

Our Leaders

Paris and Zainabu Cunningham serve as the Lead Minister and Women’s Ministry Leader for the Mercer County Church of Christ. They have been married since April 2011 and have a son and a daughter.  They have served in Ministry for over 10 years. They were on staff as Campus Ministers in The New York City Church of Christ.

In 2017 God made it clear for them to move and to lead the Mercer County Church of Christ. They are excited and looking forward to being used by God and seeing all that God will do. The Cunningham’s believe their purpose is to serve God and His people. They also believe being active in the community and investing in our next generation.
